Professor Bakri Musa Abdelkarim, representing the Sudanese American Relief and Development Center (SARC), met today with renowned businessman Mr. Muawia Al-Berrir at his office in Khartoum to discuss the practical steps toward the establishment of the Al-Berrir Agricultural Development Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable agricultural development in Sudan.

The meeting reviewed the conceptual framework and feasibility study initially developed by SARC, as well as the ongoing coordination with Mr. Al-Berrir’s office to translate the vision into a tangible reality on the ground.

Both parties emphasized the foundation’s potential to empower farmers, enhance food security, and promote modern agricultural practices, serving as a model for public-private partnerships in the non-profit sector.

SARC reaffirmed its commitment to providing technical and strategic support throughout the establishment phase, ensuring the initiative contributes meaningfully to national recovery and rural development efforts in post-war Sudan.
