KHARTOUM, December 2025 – A new initiative to provide essential food supplies to families returning to their homes in the Jebel Awliya locality has been launched this month. The project specifically targets the communities of Kalakla and Abu Adam.

The program, which involves the distribution of standardized food baskets, is funded and overseen by the United Relief and Development Organization (UMR). On-the-ground implementation is being carried out by the Sudanese-American Relief and Development Center (SARC).

The effort aims to provide immediate nutritional support to citizens as they resettle in their areas of origin, addressing a critical need during the transitional period. Officials from SARC stated that the project is a key part of broader stabilization and recovery support for the region.
