SARC Completes Successful Ramadan Iftar Food Basket Distribution in South Khartoum with Support from Humaniti Foundation

KHARTOUM, SUDAN — March 10, 2026 — The Sudanese American Relief & Development Center (SARC) announced today the successful completion of its Ramadan Food Basket Distribution Project in South Khartoum, implemented with generous funding from Humaniti Foundation.

The one-week emergency response initiative provided essential food assistance to 150 vulnerable families, including war-affected households and returnees, during the holy month of Ramadan. Each food basket contained staple items such as rice, beans, lentils, cooking oil, milk powder, flour, dates, and sugar to help families meet their nutritional needs during daily fasting and evening Iftar meals.

The organization views this project as a foundation for future collaboration with Humaniti Foundation in addressing humanitarian needs across Sudan.
