In a pivotal meeting today, Ambassador Dr. Muawia Elbukhari, Co-founder and Director of the SARC organization, held discussions with Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Sudan’s Minister of Health, along with ministry delegates, and Dr. Mohiyalden, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UMR. The high-level talks centered on the arrival of the second shipment of medical supplies and emergency kits at Port Sudan** and its swift distribution to areas most affected by the ongoing crisis.

The meeting underscored the strategic partnership between SARC, UMR, and Sudan’s Ministry of Health, reinforcing their shared commitment to delivering life-saving aid to vulnerable communities. The newly arrived medical supplies, which include essential medicines, surgical equipment, and emergency health kits, will be prioritized for hospitals and clinics facing severe shortages due to the conflict.

Dr. Elbukhari emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating: “This shipment is a lifeline for thousands of Sudanese people who lack access to basic healthcare. Through our collaboration with the Ministry of Health and UMR, we will ensure these supplies reach those in dire need efficiently and transparently.”

Dr. Haitham Ibrahim praised the joint efforts, affirming the ministry’s full support in facilitating the distribution process. “This partnership is critical in addressing Sudan’s healthcare crisis. We are working closely with SARC and UMR to overcome logistical challenges and ensure aid reaches all affected regions.”

Dr. Mohiyalden of UMR highlighted the importance of sustained cooperation, adding:

“Our alliance with SARC and the Ministry of Health is a model for effective humanitarian response. Together, we are not only providing immediate relief but also building resilience for the future.”

The meeting concluded with a concrete action plan to accelerate aid delivery, enhance coordination between stakeholders, and expand medical support programs across Sudan. As the crisis persists, this strengthened partnership signals a unified effort to alleviate suffering and restore health services for the Sudanese people.
